December came FAST
WOW, where does the time go? November was a busy month for sure!
Hubbybub and I spent the whole month packing up my art studio and getting the house "staged" to sell it. We thought this was going to be the forever house, but I wonder... I don't see anything in our life anymore as being the same forever. We like change and when we get an idea in our head we are not afraid to try something new. It keeps things interesting.
And because I can say what's really on my mind here, I'm having deep thoughts lately. You only live once and I want to remember that this life is a gift from above.
Yesterday I found out 2 of my friends are dying. They are my age and that's not supposed to happen just yet.
According to a movie I just watched, called "Serendipity" the Greek people don't write obituaries when someone dies, they ask instead if the person had passion. I have been accused of being impulsive and I wouldn't have it any other way. I would call that passion.

Yesterday was picture day for The Little House and I have to say the photographer was good at what he does. He loved our home and said he was going to enjoy taking photos of it. He did an amazing job and I cried when I saw the video he put together for it. It's not officially up for sale yet so I won't post the link here, maybe in a few days.

BIG NEWS! I've been sewing! Yup and loving it.
Before I post a photo of my base blocks I have to admit all my cloth is packed away but I had some lining from a pair of linen pants that I took apart to recycle the linen. It's a nice soft fabric and lightweight enough. I think it's going to be perfect as a lining for my base blocks.
And here are 2 blocks that I have done so far. The plan is to make different base blocks and then I'll go back and collage/applique on top of them. I decided to do it this way because Moms clothes are mostly synthetic and tee shirt materials which are a bit fidgety to work with. The bases will give them stability.
For now... I will make bases. For my Memory Cloth Quilt.
